How to Fix an Overextending Holga 120N Camera Shutter

Steps:

  1. Slide the two metal lanyard locks up and off the camera.
  2. Pop the back of the camera off.

  4. Remove the screw above the opening to the shutter piece using a Phillips #00 screwdriver.
  5. Remove the screw below the opening to the shutter piece using a Phillips #00 screwdriver.

  7. Pull the shutter piece out and away from the camera.
  8. Pull the shutter piece away carefully to avoid snapping the wire.

  10. Cut off the spade terminal's right prong with scissors.

  12. Bend the spade terminal forward at a 90-degree angle.

  14. Slice the blue plastic off of the spade terminal with the boxcutter/Exacto-knife.
  15. The plastic bottom is sealed on very tightly. Use caution when cutting it away!
  16. Remove the plastic from the spade terminal.

  18. Place hot glue at the bottom of the spade terminal.
  19. Place the spade terminal in the small hole underneath the shutter.
  20. Point the spade terminal horizontally, facing the wire that leads back to the camera.

  22. Screw the shutter piece back into place using a Phillips #00 screwdriver.

  24. Return the back of the camera into place.
