Steps:

1. Boil enough water to fill both glass jars.
2. Pour the boiling water into the smaller jar using a tea kettle.
3. The hot water will heat up the glass and melt the adhesive from the inside.

4. Place the lid onto the jar and tighten.
5. This step is optional if the larger container in Step 3 has a lid.

6. Place the jar into a larger glass container.

7. Pour hot water into the larger jar until the water level is above the label.

8. Add a few drops of dish soap into the larger jar.
9. This helps to clean up residue from the label.

10. Place the lid on the larger container and tighten.
11. This prevents heat from leaving the container.
12. Let the container sit for 10 to 15 minutes or until completely cooled.

13. Remove the smaller jar from the larger container.
14. Pour the water out of the jar.
15. Peel the label off of the jar.
16. For containers with loose labels, the label will fall off or be able to be slipped off.
17. Wipe off excess residue with a cloth or paper towel.
