Steps:

1. Power off the laptop and place the laptop with the bottom facing upwards.
2. Remove eight 5 mm screws from the bottom of the laptop.
3. Loosen the three captive screws.
4. Use an iFixit opening tool to pry the bottom cover away from the laptop.

5. Remove the two screws surrounding the fan.

6. Remove the black insulating tape from the fan connector.
7. Pinch the sides of the white fan connector with your thumb and index fingernail and pull it out of its socket.

8. Remove the fan from the laptop.
