Steps:

1. Remove the ten 6.5 mm screws that secure the base cover using a T5 Torx screwdriver.

2. Use the plastic opening tool to pry in the seam between the bottom cover and the rest of the laptop.
3. The goal is to unhook the plastic hooks that secure the bottom cover.
4. Work your way around the bottom cover of the laptop in a clockwise rotation until every clip is free.
5. You will feel and hear a clicking noise when the clips are undone.

6. Remove the four 3.5 mm screws around the battery using a Phillips #00 screwdriver.

7. Disconnect the battery supply from the motherboard using a pair of tweezers.
8. Remove the battery from the laptop.
9. If the battery has an adhesive patch on the underside, gently pry off the battery.
