Steps:

1. Press and hold the humidifier switch. Check whether the connection to the power supply still works.
2. The purpose is to rule out a power failure that would render the humidifier inoperable.

3. Use the spudger to slowly pry the middle part of the humidifier at the seam.
4. Be slow to open it, otherwise the humidifier outer body could be damaged.

5. Remove the cotton swab and spring from inside the humidifier.

6. Replace the old cotton swab filter with the new cotton swab.

7. Put the new cotton swab into the humidifier.
8. Hand tighten the part where the cotton swab and humidifier meet.
9. The picture shows how it looks when fully installed.

10. Reassemble the humidifier by snapping on the top half.

11. Plug in the power adaptor to your USB port to use.
