Steps:

  1. The locking screw for the drive is located next to the opening for the installed hard disk. Once this screw is removed the drive can then be pulled out of the side of the laptop.
  2. The drive can be replaced by a caddy into which a 2.5" hard disk (or SSD) is inserted. SSDs offer an advantage in terms of speed, but are by no means necessary. Suitable caddies are available from specialist retailers or online.

  3. The laptop's RAM is located under the cover (2). This can be expanded with DDR3 SODIMM sticks.
  4. According to the manufacturer, the laptop can accommodate up to 2 memory sticks of 4 GB each.

  6. As the operating system is located here, please set up the new hard disk accordingly in advance or have the operating system transferred to the new hard disk by experts.
