Steps:

1. Use a ruler to measure the dimensions of the damaged area on your shoe.

2. Referring to the dimensions of the damaged area, use a ruler to measure out the amount of fabric needed and cut it.

3. Add five centimeters to the width of the patch fabric's measurements, then cut the appropriate amount of thread.

4. Tie one knot on the farthest end of the measured thread.
5. This knot will secure the thread when sewing.

6. Position your fabric patch over the damaged area.

7. With the threaded needle, start looping the thread upwards through the fabric and top of the heel cup.
8. Be careful when handling the needle. The point may cause injury.

9. Tie a knot at the end of the thread to secure the stitching.
10. Make sure to tightly secure the knot so it doesn't come loose.

11. Once the fabric is secured on the shoe, cut off any excess thread.
