Steps:

1. Shut down the device before starting screen removal.
2. Insert a paper clip or SIM card removal tool into the SIM card tray hole.
3. Apply a small amount of pressure until the tray pops out.
4. Slide the SIM card tray out of your Google Pixel 5a.

5. Pry the screen off of your device using an opening tool around all four sides.

6. Remove the 4 mm screw using a T4 Torx screwdriver.
7. Disconnect the ribbon cable holding the screen in place.
8. Remove the screen from the rest of the phone.

9. Peel back the black plastic film covering the battery.

10. Use a pair of tweezers to remove the black plastic cover.

11. Use a spudger to peel back the protective tape covering two screws.

12. Using a T4 screwdriver, remove the six 4 mm screws.
13. Using a T4 screwdriver, remove the two 3 mm screws.
14. Using a T4 screwdriver, remove the 5 mm screw.

15. Using a T4 screwdriver, remove the single 1 mm screw.

16. Place a spudger under the metal bracket that covers the charging port.
17. Pry the metal bracket upwards, and remove it from the phone.

18. Place an opening tool under the midframe.
19. Pry the midframe up, and remove it from the phone.

20. Place an opening tool under the headphone jack connector and pry upward.

21. Remove the headphone jack from the phone.

22. Place an opening tool under the camera connector and pry upward.
23. Carefully remove the camera connector from the phone.

24. Place an opening tool under the camera and pry upward.
25. Carefully remove the camera from the phone.

26. Place an opening tool under the connector and pry upward.

27. Using a T4 screwdriver, remove three 2 mm screws.

28. Place an opening tool under the motherboard and pry upward.
29. Remove the motherboard from the phone.

30. Flip the motherboard over to the backside.

31. Place an opening tool under the tab and pry upward.
32. Remove the speaker from the motherboard.
