Steps:

1. Flip the laptop so the bottom is facing upward.
2. Remove ten screws using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

3. Using your fingertips, carefully pull the backplate in an upright direction.
4. Continue along the edges until the backplate is fully removed.
5. It's normal to hear cracking while pulling up on the plate.

6. Remove the four screws from the battery using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.
7. Pull up on the cable connected to the motherboard to remove.
8. Remove the battery from the bay.

9. Place the new battery in the bay.
10. Install the battery cable to the motherboard, applying pressure in a downward direction.
11. Screws the screws back in using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

12. Align the backplate.
13. Starting with the upper right corner, apply pressure in a downward angle.
14. Repeat the process around the backplate until it's fully secure.

15. Screw the backplate screws back in using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.
