Dell XPS 15 9500 Fan Replacement

Steps:

1. Remove the eight 3.0 mm screws from the bottom panel with a T5 Torx screwdriver.

2. Gently wedge an opening tool in the gap between the base panel and chassis, and pry vertically around the perimeter until it releases from the chassis.
3. Lift the base panel up and away from the chassis.

4. Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the two 4.0 mm screws screws from each fan (four screws total).

5. Use an opening tool to push the left fan cable plug out of its socket.
6. Repeat for right fan cable.

7. Lift the fan up and away from the heatsink.
8. Repeat for the right fan.
