Steps:

1. Place the Chromebook face down.

2. Make sure to completely turn off the device before beginning this step.
3. Use a JIS #00 screwdriver to remove the 11 screws on the underside of the laptop.
4. These 2 mm screws have washers and must be placed in these specific areas.
5. The 2 mm screws marked orange do not have washers attached and will be placed on the left and right of the device.

6. Use the iFixit opening tool to remove the keyboard from the device by prying it loose from the base.

7. Detach the wires connecting the keyboard and the touchpad to the motherboard by lifting the black connectors up.

8. Use the JIS #00 screwdriver to remove four 1mm screws that connect the trackpad to the device.

9. Do this step slowly to ensure that you do not damage the trackpad or the device.
10. Remove the trackpad from the base of the device.
