Steps:

  1. Disconnect laptop from the power supply.

  2. Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the ten 6.4 mm screws from the bottom cover.

  3. Use a metal or nylon spudger to pry open the back cover on all sides.
  4. Remove the back cover to access the inside where the hard disk drive is located.

  6. Disconnect the hard disk drive from its connectors, and remove the drive.
  7. Place the new HDD in the same location and orientation.
