Steps:

  1. Use a TR8 Torx screwdriver to remove:
  2. Six 5.3 mm screws
  3. Four 3.3 mm screws

  5. Use a nylon spudger to gently pry the lower case up and off.

  7. Unplug the white bundled cable connector that leads from the battery to the motherboard.

  9. Use a Phillips #1 screwdriver to unscrew and remove the six 4 mm screws that secure the battery.
  10. Step image
  11. The trackpad is connected to the motherboard via a small ribbon cable. Lift the black tab on the ZIF cable connector, and gently pull the ribbon cable free.

  13. Use a Phillips #1 screwdriver to unscrew and remove the four 2 mm screws that secure the trackpad.
  14. Step image
  15. Remove the trackpad.
