ID: 149410
Description: This guide can be used to repair your air...
Steps:
- Locate the high and low-pressure ports.
- The high-pressure port is located on the upper right (below the brake liquid).
- The low-pressure port is located inside the brake liquid case (remove the case).
- Connect the hoses to the gauge and the pressure ports.
- Blue stands for low pressure.
- Red stands for high pressure.
- Yellow is where the new air flows through the two hoses.
- Turn on the engine.
- Turn the A/C to the maximum capacity.
- Make sure the pulley belt is spinning smoothly to proceed.
- Turn off the vehicle.
- Connect one end of the tee valve connector to your refrigerant and the other end to the yellow hose.
- Turn on your vehicle again.
- Make sure the high-pressure nob is sealed.
- Begin to add refrigerant by opening the nob.
- To get the most refrigerant, shake the bottle side-by-side.
- Pump the refrigerant until the pressure gauge gets to 25- 45 psi. This process can take 10 minutes.
- Do not go past 45 psi as the car can over-charge.
- If you are using refrigerant mini cans, use the amount the car recommends. You can find this information inside the hood of the vehicle.
- Go inside your vehicle and check the temperature.
- The temperature should be from 35-48 degrees Fahrenheit.
- If the temperature is over what is recommended, the A/C will just be really cold. This will cause no problems.
- Now that the temperature and air pressures are set, it's time to turn off your vehicle.
- Proceed to remove all equipment (use safety gear).
