Steps:

1. Flip the iRobot upside down
2. locate the edge sweeping brush which has a screw in the center.
3. Loosen the screw using a Phillips #1 screwdriver.

4. Lift the side brush up from the vacuum and keep it aside.

5. Loosen the five captive screws on the bottom of the Roomba using a Phillips #1 screwdriver.

6. Remove the bottom panel of the Roomba.

7. Remove the battery from the Roomba.
