Steps:

  1. Place the iFixit opening tool between the soft ear cushion and the hard plastic of the speaker.
  2. Pry the soft ear cushion away from the hard plastic using a moderate amount of pressure.
  3. There is adhesive holding the ear cushion to the speaker so it may take a little patience to remove.
  4. Applying too much pressure can damage ear cushion.
