Description: With the Alesis Turbo Mesh Kit, the volume of...

Steps:

  1. With the Turbo Mesh Kit, the 3 cymbals supplied are too quiet. You can easily change this by soldering a 4.7 KOhm resistor into each one. They only cost a few cents and you can borrow a 15 or 20 watt soldering iron from your neighbor, that's enough heat output.

  3. Turn the cymbal over and loosen all 8 screws on the back (Phillips PH2)
  4. Then lift off the plastic cover including the screws and place it next to it

  6. A resistor must be soldered into each cymbal. The resistor should have 4.7 kilo ohms (4700 ohms). A quarter watt version is sufficient (they are nice and small).

  8. The resistor is soldered in as a jumper and if you do this well and close to the circuit board, the plastic cover does not need to be changed and fits exactly as before.

  10. Finally, screw the plastic cover back on (cordless screwdriver on level 1 so that the screws in the plastic do not turn)

  12. That's it, from now on the pools are really loud, just as they should be ;O)
  13. Have Fun!!
