Steps:

  1. Make sure your laptop is powered down and completely closed before proceeding.
  2. Turn your laptop upside down. The stickers should be facing up.

  3. To open the bottom compartment, put one finger underneath the laptop and firmly grab the compartment with your thumb.
  4. You can also use both thumbs for more pressure.
  5. Carefully slide the bottom compartment with your thumb until you feel it pop out of place.

  6. In front of the battery, you will find a sliding flap. This is a battery-release lock.
  7. Place your finger on the latch and slide the latch to open. Pull out the battery from its compartment.
  8. Do not remove your finger from the latch while sliding the battery out.
  9. Once the battery is out, release the latch.
