Steps:

1. Although not required, it is recommended that you format the new drive before putting it in the laptop.

2. Be sure to have a USB Drive or DVD with your preferred OS on it, so you can reinstall your OS after installing the new drive.

3. Shut down the computer.

4. Unplug the laptop.

5. Close the laptop's lid and flip it over.

6. Pull back on the battery removal tab.

7. Remove the battery.

8. Remove the 2 screws from the hard drive panel.

9. Remove the hard drive panel.

10. Disconnect the hard drive by pulling it back.

11. Use the black hard drive removal tab to remove the hard drive.

12. Remove the 4 screws from the hard drive enclosure.

13. Remove the hard drive from it's enclosure.
