Steps:

  1. Placing your bike on a stand or having a friend hold the bike will make the repair easier to perform.
  2. Pull the quick-release lever on the front wheel of the bike and turn it to loosen it.

  4. Remove the quick-release lever.

  6. Remove the fork from the axle of the wheel.

  8. Remove the cap from the Presta air valve that is located between the spokes on the rim.

  10. Push up on the Presta valve to release the air in the inner tube.

  12. Twist the valve to remove the nut from it.

  14. Remove the tire and inner tube from the rim.
  15. It is possible to do this with your hands but using a tire lever would simplify the process.

  17. Loosen the spoke by using the spoke wrench.
  18. Use a flat head screwdriver to remove the screw corresponding to the damaged or broken spoke.

  20. Use a T25 screwdriver to remove the six 10.0 mm screws from the disk brake rotor.

  22. Unthread and remove the spoke from the rim and the hub.
  23. Make sure to look at the alignment of the spoke removed in order to put the new spoke back on the same way.
  24. The spoke will come out of the hole.

  26. Thread the new spoke into the rim.
  27. Make sure the alignment/placement of the new spoke is the same as the old one.
