Steps:
- Placing your bike on a stand or having a friend hold the bike will make the repair easier to perform.
- Pull the quick-release lever on the front wheel of the bike and turn it to loosen it.
- Remove the quick-release lever.
- Remove the fork from the axle of the wheel.
- Remove the cap from the Presta air valve that is located between the spokes on the rim.
- Push up on the Presta valve to release the air in the inner tube.
- Twist the valve to remove the nut from it.
- Remove the tire and inner tube from the rim.
- It is possible to do this with your hands but using a tire lever would simplify the process.
- Loosen the spoke by using the spoke wrench.
- Use a flat head screwdriver to remove the screw corresponding to the damaged or broken spoke.
- Use a T25 screwdriver to remove the six 10.0 mm screws from the disk brake rotor.
- Unthread and remove the spoke from the rim and the hub.
- Make sure to look at the alignment of the spoke removed in order to put the new spoke back on the same way.
- The spoke will come out of the hole.
- Thread the new spoke into the rim.
- Make sure the alignment/placement of the new spoke is the same as the old one.
