ID: 158382

Description: The LSA Plus system is a widely used solution...

Steps:

  1. There is a difference between LSA and LSA Plus:
  2. LSA: The insulation displacement terminals are perpendicular to the cable.
  3. LSA Plus: With this technology, the insulation displacement connectors are at an angle of 45° to the cable.

  5. The Krone tool has integrated scissors that automatically cut the excess when you punch down the wire.
  6. To enable or disable the scissors, turn the wheel in the middle of the tool.

  8. The sensor is a mechanism that only allows the scissors to work if the tool is properly inserted into the LSA slot. You might want to disable it if you want to connect two wires on one contact (requires special contact).
  9. To disable the sensor, move the metal bracket at the front of the tool towards the toolhead.

  13. Press down on the connector.
  14. LSA-Plus is directionally keyed. If your tool doesn't enter into the gap, it might be because you're holding it the wrong way around.

  16. If your scissors are off, or you're working in a tight space where the excess left by the tool might be too much you'll have to manually trim the excess.
  17. Use electronics sidecutters to trim the excess.
