Steps:

  1. Before you begin your repair, perform the following:
  2. Turn off the main water supply
  3. Unplug your washer
  4. Disconnect all water connections at the rear of your washer

  6. Use a Phillips driver to remove the two bottom 16.5 mm-long screws securing the top panel brackets.

  8. Slide the top panel 1-2 inches towards the rear of the device to disconnect its clips.

  10. Tilt the top panel upward to completely disconnect it from the chassis.
  11. Remove the top panel.

  13. To prevent confusion, label each valve and its corresponding hose.
  14. You can use masking tape or mark the components themselves.
  15. Repeat the labelling procedure for each valve and its corresponding connector.

  17. Disconnect the three spade connectors from the inlet valve.
  18. Always grip cables by their connectors and not the wires themselves.

  20. Place a dry rag under the inlet valve to soak up any lingering water.

  22. Use slip joint pliers to pinch the inlet valve hose clamp and pull it away from the inlet valve assembly.

  24. Use slip joint pliers to rotate the inlet valve hose back and forth around its connection and loosen it.

  26. Pull the inlet valve hose straight off its connection on the inlet valve assembly.

  28. Repeat the previous three steps for each remaining hose attached to the inlet valve assembly.

  30. If your replacement part comes with filters pre-installed, skip this step.
  31. Use needle nose pliers to pull the inlet valve filters straight out of the inlets in the chassis.
  32. Remove the filters.

  34. Use a Phillips driver to remove the two 14.4 mm‑long screws securing the inlet valve assembly.
  35. Step image
  36. Pull the inlet valve assembly straight out of its slot in the chassis to remove it.
