Steps:

  1. 10 screws hold the bottom cover in place -- these stay in the bottom cover.
  2. Step image
  3. Using a spudger will make quick work of this step.

  5. Disconnect the battery cable from the motherboard.
  6. Remove the 4 screws holding it in place
  7. Battery can now be removed from device.

  9. Unplug the fan header
  10. Unplug the VGA board cable
  11. Unplug the LCD cable

  13. Once these 2 screws are removed the fan will lift out as long as the cables are out of the way.

  15. Loosen the 7 screws in sequential order as labeled on the heatsink [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7]
  16. Lift heatsink out of device
  17. To replace these screws: place the heatsink, line up the screw holes, then tighten the screws in the same sequential order labeled on the heatsink.

  19. Holds down card and keeps antenna in place

  21. Carefully remove the two antennas from their slots.
  22. The card should slide right out for easy replacement.

  28. Two clamps hold the RAM module in place, once these are moved the module will slide out of the slot and can be replaced.

  30. 8 remaining connections: IO Board, VGA Board, power button board, display ribbon, touchpad, keyboard, speakers, and PWR.

  33. Board will then lift out
