How to strip J-Y(ST)Y 2x2x0,8 Telecommunications Cables

Steps:

1. Use wire cutters to make a clean cut on the end of the cable you want to strip.

2. Grip the cable with a stripping tool for communication cables and twist it to cut the mantle.
3. Pull off the mantle.
4. It depends on what you want to do with the wire, but usually stripping off about 5cm is a pretty good starting point.

5. Unwrap the shielding a bit and nick it at the base with some electronics side cutters.
6. Rip off the shielding.

7. Unwrap the foil a bit and nick it at the base with some electronics side cutters.
8. Rip off the foil.

9. Pull back the grounding wire and wrap it around the cable.

10. Stripping the wire itself is optional, depending on what you want to do with it. P. ex. if you are going to punch it down into an LSA Plus block, you don't need to strip the wire.
11. Grip the wire with the 0.8 mm notch and pull off the insulation or use automatic wire strippers.
12. Stripping off 1cm is usually enough.
