Steps:

1. Flip the device so that the back is facing up.
2. Peel the rubber stoppers off the top and bottom of the device.

3. Remove ten 3 mm screws from around the edge of the back panel using a T5 Torx screwdriver.

4. Use an iFixit opening tool to pry up the back panel cover.
5. There is an orange ribbon cable that connects the cover to the base, so don't separate the two pieces completely.
6. Remove the single 2 mm screw using a Torx T3 screwdriver.
7. Disconnect the orange cable from the base of the device.

9. If your replacement battery comes with a new cover already attached, disregard this step.
10. Use an iFixit opening tool to peel back the adhesive on the entire battery system.
11. Carefully remove battery from the base.
12. Align the new battery system with the cover and attach using adhesive or double-sided tape.
