Steps:

  1. You can find the Version Number of your MMCS printed on the top right corner of the unit.
  2. In this case the Version Number is W-12.

  3. You can download the firmware files here: Version CR, CZ and CI.
  4. Check if the Firmware Version works with your device.
  5. MMCS E-11 and E-12 are analogues of W-13.
  6. Download the Firmware for your device.
  7. Press on SHOW ALL.
  8. Download LOADING.KWI.

  9. The SD card needs to be formatted to FAT32. If it’s not already formatted to FAT32 and you don’t know how to do it, you can take a look at this guide.
  10. Copy the LOADING.KWI file to the root directory of the SD Card.

  11. Press the OPEN-Button.
  12. Press the Monitor OPEN-Button on the screen.

  13. Insert the SD Card into the USER-Slot.
  14. Close the display by pressing the OPEN-Button again.

  15. The Unit will automatically detect the Firmware file and ask you if you want to update.
  16. Press the Update-Button on the screen to proceed.
  17. Do not turn off the car while the update is running!

  18. After the update is finished, remove the SD Card by repeating Step 4 and 5.
