Steps:

1. Microwave the iOpener for 30 seconds.
2. The iOpener can get very hot.
3. Wrap the iOpener around the sound card along the parting line and hold to help weaken the adhesive joining the halves.

4. Separate the two halves of the plastic shell of the sound card along the parting line.
5. Using a sharp tool to saw away stubborn adhesive may be necessary.
6. Use standard caution when using sharp tools! Never cut, stab, or wedge towards your body or fingers.

7. Desolder the audio jack.
