Steps:
- Remove the thumb rest from the mouse. The easiest way to do this is to push it down with light pressure. It is only held with magnets.
- The two lower adhesive pads must be removed in order to access the screws. To do this, you can simply slide a spudger carefully under the pads and lift them up piece by piece. The top two pads do not need to be removed
- Then use a J1 Phillips screwdriver to remove the 5 marked screws.
- The lid of the mouse can then be removed. To do this, hold the mouse with one hand and use the otherhand to lift the lid and pull it backwards at the same time. This definitely requires a bit of force. So don't worry, just pull.
- Attention, before the top cover can be removed, a cable must first be disconnected.
- To do this, simply pull the marked cable vertically upwards.
- You can also use tweezers for this.
- Now the 5 screws holding the mainboard can be loosened with a J1 and a J000 Phillips screwdriver.
- You can then lift the mainboard out of the mouse.
- You can use a spudger to pry slightly at the marked points to get the mainboard out of the mouse.
- To get the mouse wheel out of the mainboard, it now only needs to be pushed to the right
- Now the rubber part of the scroll wheel can be removed from its mounting with the spudger
- The superglue can now be distributed on the suspension of the scroll wheel
- In the final step, the rubber part is slid back over the wheel.
- Done!
