ID: 164908
Description: If you're experiencing slower-than-normal or...
Steps:
- Use a flathead screwdriver bit to push the tab on the back of the cover hinges
- Ensure your tonearm is held in place by the rest clip to avoid damage to the tonearm or the rest of the turntable.
- A #1 Phillips-head bit is recommended to remove these screws
- Remove and set aside the rubber washers so they don't fall into the turntable body.
- Flip over the unit and remove the six screws holding the black plastic cover in place.
- A #2 Phillips-head bit is recommended for these screws, though a #1 will work if necessary.
- There are no latches on the PCB connector. Simply pull on the connector to remove from the main circuit board.
- The motor has the serial number: EG-530SD-3F
- If your replacement part does not include a connector or the necessary wires, you may need to remove and re-solder the new motor to the existing wires.
- Reattach the main circuit cover with the six screws from earlier.
- Add the rubber washers back into the grooves around the motor, then look through the washer and line it up with the small holes on the motor (see attached photo).
- Reattach the dust cover and you're good to go!
