Steps:
- Place the device facing bottom part up.
- Make sure the working surface won't scratch the surface of the tablet
- Remove 4 rubber feet using a spudger or a pair of tweezers
- Unscrew 4 #000 Phillips screws
- Use spudger or other prying tool to open the tablet.
- The clips are located all around the perimeter of the tablet
- The parts inside are attached to the top part of the device
- Remove the cable.
- Do not pull the cable with force - it is soldered to the mainboard
- While the pen holder might seem permamently riveted, it can be removed and cleaned
- Press firmly around the rivets to re-attach it
- Unclip 3 flex cable connectors
- The clips are fragile.
- Unlocked connector's latch is in vertical position.
- Due to fragiility of flex cables, it's better to remove the adhesive strips only from the mainboard and leave the attached adhesvie strips to the flex cable as is.
- The mainboard is now loose and can be removed.
- The mainboard contains a fuse, visible in the second image in the gallery.
- Replacement of touch digitizer requires removing the top sticker.This procedure is not a part of this guide, and it might permamently destroy the working surface of the tablet.
- USB Cable is soldered to the mainboard
