Steps:

  1. Place the device facing bottom part up.
  2. Make sure the working surface won't scratch the surface of the tablet

  4. Remove 4 rubber feet using a spudger or a pair of tweezers
  5. Unscrew 4 #000 Phillips screws

  7. Use spudger or other prying tool to open the tablet.
  8. The clips are located all around the perimeter of the tablet
  9. The parts inside are attached to the top part of the device

  11. Remove the cable.
  12. Do not pull the cable with force - it is soldered to the mainboard
  13. Step image
  14. While the pen holder might seem permamently riveted, it can be removed and cleaned
  15. Press firmly around the rivets to re-attach it
  16. Step image
  17. Unclip 3 flex cable connectors
  18. The clips are fragile.
  19. Unlocked connector's latch is in vertical position.
  20. Due to fragiility of flex cables, it's better to remove the adhesive strips only from the mainboard and leave the attached adhesvie strips to the flex cable as is.

  22. The mainboard is now loose and can be removed.
  23. The mainboard contains a fuse, visible in the second image in the gallery.
  24. Replacement of touch digitizer requires removing the top sticker.This procedure is not a part of this guide, and it might permamently destroy the working surface of the tablet.
  25. USB Cable is soldered to the mainboard
