HP 15-ac130ca Hard Disk Drive Replacement

Steps:

1. Remove the two stickers on the hinges of the back panel.
2. There are two hidden screws behind the stickers.

3. Remove all the screws on the back panel.
4. The Phillips-head screws are all size M2.5 X 8MM.

5. Remove the battery from the laptop.

6. Open the laptop and view the keyboard.

7. Take a prying tool and push down between where the front and back panels meet.
8. Once the prying tool is inside, push the keyboard upwards.
9. Once a quiet crack or pop is heard. Move on to the next part of the seam.
10. Repeat until the keyboard is pushed up slightly.

11. Turn over the laptop and remove the bottom panel.

12. Remove the four screws holding the hard drive in place.
13. Disconnect the cables.
14. The four Phillips head screws are all size M3 X 3MM.

15. Remove the hard drive and unscrew the two railings.
16. Take the new hard drive and screw on the railings.
17. Connect and secure the hard drive to the motherboard in the reverse way it was taken out.
