Guide 1: XIAOMI Air Fryer top lids disassembly

Steps:

1. Disassembly of the screwless top cover and second cover on the top of the XIAOMI Air Fryer, many other manufacturers use a similar system.

2. Remove the cooking basket.

3. TOP COVER: due to the part being manufactured to prevent it from being opened, It CANNOT be taken apart without breaking the 5 clips.
4. Use side to side pressure and lever action to break the clips.

7. Close up of the clips where the top cover clamps to the main body.
8. Steps 11 and 12 show why the lid can't be dismounted without breaking the clips.

9. Taking apart the second top cover: take out 6 rubber lids around the outer edge to uncover 6 screws.

10. With a prying tool or a needle it is easy to remove the rubber plugs.

11. Remove the 6 screws with the help of a flathead screwdriver.

13. Remove the 4 inner screws.

14. Lift the cover.

15. Here you can see in detail why the clips cannot be removed without breaking them, the space between the clip and the connecting cover does not allow the clip any movement and thus it cannot be pushed to clear the hook once the top cover is inserted, rendering it impossible to remove the top lid without breaking the clips.

16. Once both lids are removed the remains of the broken clips will be scattered around the inside of the Air Fryer. Remove them taking special care and be sure to check the fan (3º Picture) as any plastic piece left there will melt, leaving a burnt plastic smell.
