Steps:

1. To access all internal components, first flip the speaker upwards to where you can see the base.
2. Place your blue iFixit opening picks inside the gap between the speaker and the base to act as a lever when opening the speaker.

3. Using the flat head #4.5 screw driver, carefully lever and rotate the driver around the edge of the speaker to enlarge the gap further.
4. Here, it is ideal to use a spudger as opposed to the flathead screwdriver, however, the flathead makes it so much easier to pry off the cap.
5. Pry off the base of the speaker and remove the end cap.

6. Remove the lithium-ion battery from the inside of the speaker by gripping the battery using the plyers.
7. Here, it is ideal to use a tweezers as opposed to the plyers, however, the plyers makes it so much easier to take out the battery.
8. The battery should slide out as you pull against it with the plyers.
9. Remove the battery.
