Steps:

1. Orient your saw sideways so that the blade is facing downwards.

2. Remove the nine 6 mm screws using a Torx T4 screwdriver.
3. Remove the single 8 mm screw at the bottom that attaches the panels together using a Torx T6 screwdriver.
4. Slowly pull and remove the front panel of the saw that connects to the blade side with your hand, and separate it from the motor.

5. Slowly remove the battery from its slot with your hand while watching out for the spring below.
6. Remove the spring that is located under the battery compartment and set it aside for later.

7. Carefully remove the rubber covers from the black and red wires of the battery with a pair of tweezers.

8. Carefully desolder and separate the wires from the battery compartment.
9. Gently pull the wires off with your hands being careful of the heat.
