Steps:

  1. Unplug your refrigerator before you begin your repair.
  2. If you are testing or repairing the following items, you may also need to shut off and disconnect the water supply:
  3. Condenser fan motor
  4. Compressor motor and thermal overload device
  5. Water supply valve assembly

  7. Open both refrigerator doors fully.

  9. Use a #2 Philips driver to remove the screws that secure the ice maker assembly to the refrigerator door.

  11. Use a spudger to lift the bottom edge of the ice maker assembly. This action will release the assembly from the refrigerator door.
  12. Pull the bottom edge of the ice maker assembly toward you to free it from the door.

  14. Lower the ice maker assembly until you can access the connector located at the top of the assembly.
  15. Squeeze the connector at the top of the ice maker assembly to release it.
  16. Pull the connector straight down to disconnect it.

  18. Remove the ice maker assembly.
