Steps:

1. Open both refrigerator doors fully.

2. Lift up the front edge of the shelf to release it.
3. Unhook the shelf and remove it.
4. Repeat the last two steps for each shelf you wish to remove.

5. The first photo shows a refrigerator with a water filter plug installed. If your refrigerator looks like this it does not yet have a water filter installed.
6. You may choose to shut off the water supply to the refrigerator before loosening the filter cartridge or plug. This provides extra protection against leakage while removing the filter.
7. To release your water filter, rotate it one-quarter turn counterclockwise.

8. Pull the filter down to remove it.

9. Your replacement filter may have a cap over the seals. Be sure to remove it before installing the new filter.
