Steps:

1. Unplug your refrigerator before you begin your repair.
2. If you are testing or repairing the following items, you may also need to shut off and disconnect the water supply:
3. Condenser fan motor
4. Compressor motor and thermal overload device
5. Water supply valve assembly

6. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws securing the control board cover.

7. Tilt the top edge of the cover toward you and lift it off.

8. Note the position of each of the connectors, before disconnecting them. A photo is very valuable for keeping track, and taking several as you progress may be helpful.
9. Squeeze and pull the connectors to disconnect them from the control board.
10. Make sure to fully reconnect each connector when reassembling.

11. Use your thumb to pry up and release the top left retaining clip securing the control board.
12. With your other hand, pull the top left corner of the control board out to loosen it.

13. Repeat this process for each tab down the left edge of the control board as well as the top and bottom edges.

14. Lift the control board out by its edges and remove it.
