Steps:

1. Caution: Before beginning, turn off the ionvac and place it on a level surface.
2. Keep in mind that your ionvac has many small screws that can be easily lost. A magnetic project mat is best to prevent misplacing any parts.
3. Flip your ionvac upside down so the wheels are pointed upwards and the side brushes are furthest from you.

4. Remove the 2 screws that secure the battery door.
5. Lift the battery door to reveal the lithium ion battery.
6. If the battery cover is stuck, use a Jimmy or another prying tool to pry it off.

7. Disconnect the battery by squeezing down on the cream-colored tabs of the battery connectors and pulling them apart.
8. Caution: Be careful when removing the connector, as the part can break if too much force is used.
9. When reinstalling the battery, remember to place it in your ionvac with the white strip facing up. If the battery has two flaps, ensure the flaps are facing up before screwing in the battery door.
