Description: Changing a phone's battery is necessary after...
Steps:
- First, turn off the phone to prevent any electrical issues or possible storage loss.
- Open the back of the phone carefully. You can use your hands or any plastic opener tools; simply stick one nail (or plastic opener) on the tiny dent shown and carefully pull it out.
- There are many ways to remove the back cover. The best way is to use this tiny dent on the side to avoid any cracks.
- Once you remove the back cover, remove the old battery from the back of the phone by grabbing the lower part of the battery as shown in the picture. Once you do this leave the battery aside.
- Install the new battery. First, slide it up to where the four pins are located.
- Make sure to do it properly by looking at the positive and negative symbols.
- Reattach the back cover, make sure the headphone jack, charging port and volume buttons all fit with the cover.
- When reattaching the cover, make sure to leave no spaces between the phone and the cover. This could be a potential danger to your phone since things like dust or water are easier to get in.
- Turn on the phone and check if the battery charges too. This step is important to check if the battery was properly placed or functions properly.
- If for some reason the phone does not turn on, give it some time to charge completely. If given this time the phone still doesn't turn on, you may need to get a new battery and follow the guide all over again.
