Steps:

1. Lay your device face-down.
2. Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the two 4 mm screws next to the AUX port and microphone.

3. Pry open the back-plate using a Jimmy.
4. Do this by inserting the tool into the fine thin line between the back-plate and screen at each corner of the device.

5. Lift off the backplate using your hand.
6. If the backplate is stuck, repeat the previous step to ensure all the edges are free.

7. Use an opening tool to lift the battery from the device.
8. Be careful to not use a metal spudger or tool, as it can bend and harm the battery.

9. Take your soldering gun and carefully remove the red and black wire connecting the battery to the motherboard.
