Valve Index Base Station IR Laser Replacement

Description: This is a guide to fix base station 2.0.

Steps:

1. I have not found a way to remove the faceplate without damage
2. Score the front plastic.
3. Use the soldering iron to cut part of it until you can open it with pliers.

4. The top piece has a slop ramp and it is hard to get off.

5. Use a T8 screwdriver to remove the four screws that are marked with a blue circle.

6. It is contact pins.
7. Use a T8 screwdriver to remove the three screws marked with blue circles.

8. Use needle-nose pliers to pry out the piece marked by the blue circle.

9. LD+ (1) is PL1
10. Case (2) is PL2
11. LD- (3) is PL3

14. Line up the flat sides.
15. Then add hot glue around the diode case.

16. Very small wires.

17. Black PL1
18. Red PL2
19. White PL3
20. LD+ (1) is PL1
21. Case (2) is PL2
22. LD- (3) is PL3

23. Follow start steps in reverse.
