2009-2015 Toyota Prius Grab Handle Replacement

Description: So, you happened to pull on the grab handle...

Steps:

1. Locate and lift the handle above the driver's or passenger's seat.

2. Find tabs for removal of joint cover.

3. With a spudger, enter the tab and gently apply pressure to disconnect the joint cover from the assembly.
4. Slowly apply pressure away from the frame.
5. Notice that the joint cover is hooked on the inside. Be careful not to damage it.

6. Repeat the steps to remove the other joint cover.

7. Remove the handle leaving behind the metal clips.

8. With a pair of pliers or with your fingers, pinch and pull on the metal clips to remove them.

9. When replacing the handles, ensure that the metal clips are pointed inward toward the manifold.
10. Insert until it snaps in place.

11. Insert the joint covers diagonally ensuring the hook is not damaged.

12. Secure and test the handle.
