Steps:
- Ensure your device is powered off before you begin.
- Use the opening tool to gently pry the back cover off of the tablet, running it along the perimeter of the device.
- The following instructions require soldering, which can risk burn injuries as well as component damage for those novice in the skill. Tread with caution.

- Remove any adhesive tape that is holding the wires protruding from the battery down.
- De-solder the red and black wire ends that connect the battery to the motherboard.
- Using metal tools can cause damage to the battery and potentially create a fire hazard. ESD safe tools are recommended for this operation.
- Wedge a plastic or nylon spudger underneath the battery, moving it back and forth to separate it from the device.
- Remove the battery.
