Steps:

1. Turn off the furnace by either using the switch near to the furnace or by turning the temperature down with the thermostat.

2. Pull the handhold with force in order to open the 'door' to the filter's location.
3. You will hear a 'pop' and the door should come off easily.

4. Remove the old filter completely by pulling the filter out of its location.
5. On the top of the filter there is an arrow pointing in a specific direction. Make sure you remember that direction.

6. Insert the new filter by sliding it into the same place where the old filter was.
7. Make sure that the arrow on the top of the filter is pointing in the same direction as the old filter was.
8. Make sure that the filter is as far back as it can go.

9. Reattach the door by lining it up with the inside edges of the opening.
10. Use force to make sure that the door is fully secure into its position so that the door does not fall off. You should hear a sound similar to a click once the door is correctly in place.

11. Turn back on the furnace.
12. You can do this by flipping the switch back on or by turning the furnace on with the thermostat.
