Steps:

1. Push the sliding button to open the dirt capsule to empty it out.
2. Ensure to do this over a garbage can/bag to prevent a mess.

3. Using a coin or other thin item, such as a guitar pick, push the cap at the end of the vacuum out. Switch between sides to make it come out evenly.
4. This could take more time than expected.

5. Once the battery is popped out, carefully pull it out.

6. To properly store and then dispose of the battery put it in a clear plastic bag.

7. Slot your replacement battery where the old one was.
8. Once inside, push hard on the end until you hear a click.

9. Test the vacuum to ensure the replacement succeeded.
