Steps:

1. Remove the lid to the storage tank by using the latch and lifting off.
2. Grab the food storage tank on both sides. Depress the tabs that say "Push" on them and lift the tank off.

3. Grab the spindle from the bottom.
4. This will prevent the feeder from spinning while you loosen the screw.
5. Using a Phillips #2 screwdriver, remove the single 11.6 mm screw in the center of the topside of the feeder mechanism.
6. Once the screw is removed, grab the three-pronged silicone agitator and remove it from the feeder.

7. Flip the storage tank over so that the bottom side is facing up.
8. Using a Phillips #2 screwdriver, remove the three 11.3 mm screws that hold the plastic cap onto the bottom of the tank.
9. Lift the plastic cap off the tank.

10. Firmly grab the spindle of the mechanism and remove it from the bottom of the tank.
