Steps:

  1. Flip the device over so that the backside is facing you.
  2. Remove the rubber feet to expose six screws.
  3. Using the Phillips #1 screwdriver, remove six screws securing the back panel to the device.

  5. Insert a plastic opening tool and run it along the edges of the laptop.
  6. Remove the back panel from the device.

  8. Using the Phillips #0 screwdriver, remove the four screws securing the battery in place.

  10. Lift the battery up and out and remove it from the device.

  12. Use a Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove the 6.8 mm screws securing the hinges.

  14. Use tweezers to detach the coaxial cables from the Wi-Fi card.
  15. Hold the tweezers closer to the metal pin to avoid ripping the cable and damaging the connector when removing the clip.

  17. First, gently push the tip of a spudger under the metal buckle of the display cable connector to unclip it, then swing it over the socket.
  18. Next, hold the buckle and cable together and gently pull the connector straight out of its socket.
  19. To reconnect:
  20. Grip the cable and buckle together and insert the connector fully into its socket.
  21. Aligning the connector can be tricky. Reposition it as necessary and don't try to force it into the socket, or you may damage both the connector and its socket.
  22. Flip the buckle over the socket and use a spudger to press the buckle down until it clicks into place.

  24. Remove the display assembly from the laptop chassis with your hands.
