Steps:

  1. Shut your laptop down (if possible), close the lid, then flip the laptop over.

  2. Remove the battery by unlatching it.
  3. Unscrew the screw near a donut-shaped icon. The icon should not be 3 discs, as that's the HDD screws.

  4. Now, pull gently on the CD/DVD drive.

  5. Remove the CD/DVD drive cover with a spudger (Don't worry, you can use your nails if you don't have one).
  6. Be careful not to bend the drive!
