Steps:

1. Turn off the power to the fan and light before you begin to avoid injury.
2. Twist off the cap that holds the glass dome still.
3. Slide the hardware covering the glass and allow it to hang on the end of the pull chain.

4. Twist off the bolt that holds the glass dome up.
5. After this, it is helpful to have a second person. If you let go of the dome, it will fall and possibly break.
6. Until you screw the bolt back on, make sure you have someone holding the dome in place.
7. You are working with a glass dome. If the dome drops it could break. Glass shards can cause injury.

8. Slide the glass dome down to reveal the light bulbs.
9. Unscrew the old lightbulbs and replace them with the new ones.

10. Slide the dome back in place to cover the light bulbs.
11. Replace the bolt to secure the dome.
12. Once the bolt is in place and the dome secure, you can let your arms rest.
13. Don't screw the bolt too tightly. If you do, you may crack the glass. You also need to be able to rotate the dome in place.
14. Rotate the dome until the fan cord aligns with the hole correctly. Try pulling on it to test. You will need to twist the dome until it lines up correctly.
15. If you don't hear a click, it is tangled.

16. Realign the hardware at the base of the glass dome and and screw the cap to secure.
17. Check that all of the holes align with the fan cord. Pull the cord to confirm you hear a click.
18. If necessary, rotate and work with the chain to untangle it.
