Steps:

  1. Carefully turn the handwheel clockwise to lift the needle.
  2. Turn this until the needle does not retract anymore.

  4. To remove the broken needle from its position, take the 3 mm flathead screwdriver and turn counterclockwise to loosen it.

  6. Gently remove the broken needle by pulling it down.

  8. Holding the new needle in hand, prepare to place it into position.
  9. Make sure that the scarf (the dip toward the end of the needle) faces away from you when placing it in the slot.
